How Speaker
Identification Works
Learn how Talk2Memo automatically identifies and labels different speakers.
Help Center › AI Features
Talk2Memo automatically detects when different people are speaking and labels each segment with a speaker identifier (Speaker A, Speaker B, etc.).
How it works
Speaker identification (also called diarisation) analyses the acoustic properties of each voice. It groups speech segments by speaker without needing to know who anyone is in advance.
Accuracy
Works best with 2–4 distinct speakers.
Accuracy decreases in very noisy environments or when speakers frequently interrupt each other.
Phone calls and video conference recordings generally produce good results.
Speaker labels are assigned automatically — Talk2Memo does not know the actual names of speakers. You can rename labels manually in a future update.
