Talk2Memo streams your audio to AssemblyAI's real-time transcription engine while you record. Words appear on screen within approximately 300ms of being spoken.
What it is
The live transcript is a real-time preview. It lets you confirm the app is capturing your speech correctly as you record. It is not the final transcript.
What it isn't
The live transcript is less accurate than the final transcript. After you stop recording, the full audio is processed by a more powerful model that produces the final, speaker-labelled transcript.
If you're offline when you start recording, the live transcript will not appear. Your audio is still captured and will be uploaded and transcribed once you reconnect.
